1979

Was that the height of disco?  Maybe so, but it was also the year that Robert, Marco, Lorena and Carmen moved in to 243 Joannie Way.  They are the oldest family remaining from the past generation of kids here with the Robinsons not far behind.

I might also include some information about my personal history: where I grew up, where I went to school, various places I've lived. If I have one, I'll include a picture of myself engaging in an activity I enjoy, such as a sport or hobby.

What a job!

I might describe my job in a little more detail here. I'll write about what I do, what I like best about it, and even some of the frustrations. (A job with frustrations? Hard to believe, huh?)

The Neighborhood Meets At 243!

Over the years, there have been many parties on Joannie Way.  Block parties and disco dances are a thing of the past, but over the past decade, the neighborhood reunites more often than not at 243.

Here are some examples.

Millenium Party

Most here would have to agree that there's been no party like the one that put us into the new millenium!  While the dinner portion was held next door at the Lelja's, the dancing and spirit of the celebration was held here at 243.  Silly String shot off at midnight still graces the kitchen ceiling as a monument to that event.

4th Of July

A yearly tradition growing over the years is the 4th of July pool party in the backyard.  Everyone comes and enjoys each other's company while feasting on a well-prepared meal of barbecue and salads.  Most all of the neighborhood attends each year.

Christmas Eve

For a couple of years now, Christmas Eve has been celebrated by multiple families and regulars from The Outsiders at 243.  These celebrations include a feast as well as the traditional opening of gifts.
